On Saturday, October 27, 2018 Bourbon County Marching Band defended their 3A Championship in semi-finals and Finals.  They first competed at Boyle County for Semi-Finals and then advanced to Finals competition at Kroger Field. At Boyle County they competed against the top 16 bands from regional competition.   These bands included Warren East, Rockcastle County, Franklin-Simpson, Rowan County, Breckenridge County, Marion County, Puducah Tilghman, Nelson County, Russell County, Harrison County, Taylor County, John Hardin, Mercer County and Boyle County.  The AAA finalists were Russell County, Harrison County,Taylor County, and Bourbon County. Bourbon County placed second in Semi-Finals.  The Marching Colonels also won Best Music Effect at Semi-Finals.  The Colonels successfully defended their 3A championship later that night at Kroger Field.

Saturday night they performed at the UK Campus on Kroger Field. Despite having an alarm go off not once but twice during their performance they powered through and brought home another win! They placed first in AAA, when they competed against Russell County, Harrison County, and Taylor County.
