  • Cupid is the big picture that surrounds Valentine’s day. He represents in most eyes love and he’s a cute baby that shoots arrows at one another but that’s not the case at all. Cupid represents the god of affection, desire, and erotic love.
  • Cupid comes from the Latin word “Cupido” and that means desire.
  • Cupid is the son of Venus, the goddess of love and beauty; he became known as the god of affection. Legend has it that Cupid shot a golden tipped arrow at gods and humans alike. By piercing their heart with an arrow, he caused individuals to fall in love.
  • Cupid’s counterpart is Eros. Eros, whose mischievous meddling in the affairs of gods and mortals, caused bonds of love to form and drama to unfold.
  • Cupid’s powers. Cupid’s powers are the normal attributes as an Olympian god. He has super strength and the abilities for someone to fall in love. His physical attributes are the representation of affection and love. His powers are known to help certain humans fall in love and be happy with each others affection and love they’re giving.
  • Cupid has been thrown into many T.V. shows and movies just because of how powerful his myth represents. His myth has shown no matter who he can make you fall in love with someone as long as you’re hit with an arrow.
