It is that time of year! The weather is starting to get warm and the winter season is over. The college baseball season has started so that means, the spring season sports are starting for High School in Kentucky. So that means that Track and Field can start sooner rather than later. Baseball can also start their season on February 22nd due to COVID. The first part of the season will be able to begin in late March. Teams are having scrimmages and they have already started their practicing. Last year’s Spring sports season was canceled in the early part of the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic starting. There will be a spring sports season and it will be a full spring sports season. There will be many differences this season and those are facial coverings are required at all times and social distancing will be enforced throughout the spring sports season. The attendance limit was increased for the KHSAA Sweet 16 state basketball tournament to 25% during that tournament so the capacity limit will be at 25% for the spring sports season. The High School spring sports include Baseball, Fastpitch Softball, Tennis, and Track, and Field. The spring sports season is delayed because of the KHSAA Sweet 16 basketball tournament and the start date for competitions has been pushed back because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Spring Sports season is starting in the state of Kentucky. These spring sports include Baseball, Fastpitch Softball, Tennis, and Track and Field. The first spring competitions started in late March and early April and each sport had a delayed start due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There will still be requirements for social distancing and having a facial covering throughout each competition of the spring sports season. The maximum capacity has also been raised to 25% during the season.
