On August 23, influencer Gabbie Hanna posted over 100 videos on Tiktok in 24 hours, which concerned her fans with many commenting and dueting saying she was in a manic episode and should seek professional help considering she has bipolar disorder. She posted videos of her crying, laughing, talking about religion, and death, and also stating she is the smartest person on earth; she has also referred to herself as the second coming of Jesus Christ. She also posted videos claiming someone broke into her house supposedly named “Nick”. She states that he was lost and needed to use the bathroom so she allowed it. On a Tiktok she wrote “If he was going to attack me, thank you, my God, for giving me the Honor of taking that bullet. My FAITH in YOU, my Lord, is why I will always show kindness to a stranger.” She also added that she knows the man’s face, name and that he left behind fingerprints.

After the LAPD received many calls from concerned individuals they went to Gabbie’s home to do a wellness check. After checking her out, the LAPD concluded that she wasn’t a threat to herself or others and let her remain in her house. Gabbie later posted saying she was detained by five officers because she expressed her “free speech and religion.” She also added that two psych evaluation specialists tried to drag her to the hospital but she’s “smart, educated, kind, and brave” and ended up being allowed to stay home. Gabbie’s sister, Cecilia has told people to mind their own business and stated “we are doing what can be done from here. At the end of the day, you are all strangers on the internet and it is none of your business regardless of your level of concern. We are aware and doing what we can. She is an adult. I am a 20-year old on the other side of the country.” The last video Gabbie posted up to this date was on August 28, 2022, replying to a comment about climate change.
