Four victims were identified early Monday afternoon: Tommy Elliott, 63; Juliana Farmer, 45; Jim Tutt, 64; and Josh Barrick, 40.  Later Monday evening, police announced that Deana Eckert, 57, had died after being in the hospital all day.Officer Nickolas Wilt, 26, was shot in the head, underwent surgery and was listed in critical condition, Gwinn-Villaroel said. Wilt had graduated from the police academy on March 31.”I just swore him in, and his family was there to witness his journey to become a police officer,” Gwinn-Villaroel said.

The gunman might have had mental health issues, according to a federal law enforcement source who has been briefed on the attack .His mother said he had been struggling with mental illness, but never knew he would do something so tragic like this. His mother had called 911 on him after hearing secondhand that her son had a gun and was heading toward the bank, according to 911 calls released by police Wednesday. She told the 911 operator “ My son might have a gun and is heading to the Old National on Main Street here in Louisville…this is his mother. I’m so sorry, I’m getting details secondhand. I’m learning about it now. Oh my Lord”. The family of Conner Sturgeon plans to have his brain tested for chronic traumatic encephalopathy, commonly known as CTE, his father and a spokesperson for the family told CNN on Thursday.

It’s heartbreaking that another tragedy happened again. You can never prepare yourself for something like this, no one could have expected this from Conner. I feel so sorry for all the victims and their families and what they are still going through.
