Meghan Trainor has recently made some very controversial comments on her podcast she has with her brother. With many apologies and saying she was just “fired up” over the many school shootings she regrets her words. When her guest Trisha Paytas started talking about her opinion on all the shootings Megan said “ F**k teachers dude.”

In 2023, there have been over 163 mass shootings in 2023 so far and it’s frightening a lot of people. As this fear is so strong many are taking their opinions and wants for change to social media. When this topic was brought up with Meghan she seemed to feel very strongly that homeschooling was the way. She has one son and another baby on the way. She later on says that both her and her husband were bullied by teachers as kids and that may have influenced her comment. The hardest thing about this situation is that some people can understand being worked up about a subject like this while others find this action to be unforgivable.

In another statement Meghan says “I did not mean that to all teachers. I love teachers, I fight for teachers. I think they have the hardest job and they are the most underpaid. They are the most unappreciated when they literally raise all of us. I don’t want to make excuses, I am just so sorry.” Many teachers have been dueting the video of Trainor on TikTok. The reactions range of course but overall there are many popular teacher platforms that are very upset.

Moments like this make it suck to be a celebrity. We are all human at the end of the day and will make mistakes. We live in a world where mistakes are very hard to learn from because we are always suffering from the opinions that others have on the mistakes we make. I truly hope Meghan has learned from this slip up in words. Some may wish hate on her but this seems like a very bad situation where some hurtful words were said in the heat of the moment.
