On Thursday, September 7th, the country music singer, Zach Bryan, most noted for his hit single, “Something in the Orange” was arrested and taken to Craig County Sheriff’s Office in Vinita, Oklahoma. He was first pulled over on Wednesday, September 6th for speeding and was almost arrested for not providing the cop his address, but eventually did so and was let off with a warning. “It frustrated me a lot because I didn’t know if I had a right to refuse him my address or not.” On September 7th, the police report on Bryan said that he pulled his truck next to his parked security guard, who was the subject of a traffic stop by the state trooper that arrested Bryan. After waiting some time for the trooper to let his security guard go, Bryan got out of his truck to smoke and asked the patrolman what was taking so long. The trooper then asked Bryan to get back in his truck and stated that if he didn’t he would be arrested for interfering with an investigation. Instead, Bryan went back to his truck and told the officer to take him to jail. He stated, “I’ll go to jail, let’s do it.” The officer put Bryan in the front seat of his police truck. After Bryan was out of jail, he posted a video telling his side of the story saying that, “I just wanted to be completely transparent with everyone who listens to my music about what happened yesterday with me getting arrested and everything,”. He goes on to explain that he was acting like a child and he made the situation more complicated than it needed to be. It didn’t help my situation at all. “I felt like a child,” he said. Bryan then admitted that what happened was his fault and states, “I was just an idiot and I’ll take the fall for it. I’m a grown man and I shouldn’t behave like that and it won’t happen again.”
