Bourbon County High School is hosting a homecoming spirit week where the students have the opportunity to dress up as something different each day for a week. Homecoming Spirit Week is for students and staff members to show support to the school. They can have a blast coming to school showing school spirit going out of their normal routine and doing things they would normally not do.
On Monday, September 25, 2023, the theme is anything but a backpack day. Students and staff members can bring any school-appropriate object as a backpack. They can have lots of fun by showing up with their new and improved “backpacks”.
On Tuesday, September 26, 2023, the theme is Barbie vs. Ken. Students and staff members can go out of their way to dress as Barbie or Ken. Also, they can dress up as a group or solo.
On Wednesday, September 27, 2023, the theme is Western. Students and staff can dress up in Western clothes. They can dress up as cowboys and cowgirls.
On Thursday, September 28, 2023, the theme is Throwback. Students and staff can dress up as a time in the past. They can dress up as anything they can think of from a past event, etc., and bring it back to the present.
On Friday, September 29, 2023, the theme is dress in your class color. Freshmen wear Navy, Sophomores wear white, Juniors wear maroon, and seniors wear black. Students can wear their class colors to show school spirit to kick off the year at the first Bourbon County High School Pep rally.
Make sure you show school spirit during September 25, 2023-September 29, 2023. You can dress up but it’s not mandatory and you can have fun coming to school to see what your friends and peers are wearing. But don’t forget on “anything but a backpack day” it must be able to be carried up and down the stairs, through the classroom doors, and can’t be something that will distract the class.
