The time has come where the football superstar, Tom Brady’s former wife, Gisele Bündchen of 13 years of marriage, decides to open up about the divorce and her moving forward to find her footing amid the “curve balls” she’s faced over the past few years. “I feel like whenever it rains, it pours. With all the different twists and turns that life takes, all we can do is the best we can given what happens in our surroundings,” Bündchen said in an interview with People on Monday. Some of those twists and turns include homeschooling the two children she shares with Brady. Their son Ben, 13, and their daughter Vivian, 10; through the pandemic, multiple moves to new homes, caring for her ailing parents and, most notably, the end of her marriage. The former couple first announced in October 2022 that they were divorcing but were both stressing about making co-parenting their kids a shared priority.
There is a viral Tik Tok of a younger Gisele Bündchen walking the runway for the Givenchy Spring/Summer collection show in 2000. During her walk on the runway the heel of her shoe breaks off, bur that didn’t stop Gisele from walking. Bündchen says on an interview with People last Friday in NYC following a panel for her Gaia Herbs partnership and recalls, “It was crazy. The heel actually went in.” Bündchen added, “You’ve just got to pretend like nothing happened and hope that no one noticed. And I think that’s a great metaphor for life, because whenever the curve balls get thrown at you, do you crumble or do you rise? It’s a choice, right? You’ve got to rise.” Bündchen is referring to the curve balls she’s had to face the past year after her divorce with Brady. It took the Pandemic and a divorce for Bündchen to realize that self-care is not selfish.
