Boco’s Hoco
September 25, 2018
Homecoming is here! Last week, our school nominated members of homecoming court for each class. The nomination process started with students being able to nominate themselves or other classmates for court.
A week later students were asked to vote for a class representative. Students could choose two people; one girl and one boy. Everybody voted online in their fourth period class and some classes/clubs texted the link to their students, so those who weren’t at school could still vote. By the end of the day, the results were in.
Kadynce Gibson and Connor Roberts were selected for the Freshman representatives. Sophomores, Mady Walters and Jacob Greenlee, were selected by their peers. The Junior representatives are Savannah Whetstine and Jared Sandefur. Senior nominees include Chazz Baker, and Mady Petrey, Donovan Hollar and Julianna Rigsby, Leah Mullins and Darrien Wilson, and Karly Black with Ethan French.
While we will have to wait to find out who will win Homecoming Queen and King until Saturday, candidates expressed that they feel being nominated is an honor. They will be honoring the attendees for the freshman, sophomore, and junior class at the game as well.
The homecoming dance is on Saturday, September 29 from 7-10 p.m. It’ll be a great event for our school to bond with one another and make new friends.
