On October 29, FIFTY FIFTY’s agency, ATTRAKT, announced directly on their Twitter account that Keena from the new and rising K-pop group, FIFTY FIFTY, is set to appear at the highly anticipated 2023 Billboard Music Awards. It has been confirmed that FIFTY FIFTY is nominated for two awards this year. They include the top Duo/Group and the Top Global K-pop song (for their top hit “Cupid” Twin Version.) In recent situations within the group, Keena, who had recently gone on hiatus, rejoined the group. Although she came back, the agency decided to terminate exclusive contracts with three other members of the group, Saena, Sio, and Aran, earlier that weekend. ATTRAKT cited evidence of scheming between these memes and Ahn Sun Il, also known as SIAHN, was behind this supposed scheme between the members. It has been stated that the one scheming this entire time was not the members but SIAHN himself. Keena stated that he told the girls that he made “Cupid” and that he should have gotten all the credit. She also stated that he only thinks of investment money but the investment is in reality just debt since you have to pay the money. Luckily, legal action against SIAHN and those further involved is reportedly in the process.
Moreover, the Seoul High Court recently denied the appeal of Aran, Sio, and Saena regarding their court decision, which denied their request to terminate their contracts with ATTRAKT. Keena, who returned to ATTRAKT, withdrew her appeal before rejoining the group. In a recent Dispatch interview, ATTRAKT made it clear that Keena would be taking part in the honored event. The 2023 Billboard Music Awards are scheduled to air live on November 19, offering an exciting platform for FIFTY FIFTY and Keena to showcase their talent on the international stage. Apart from this, ATTRAKT also dropped hints at their plans for the future of FIFTY FIFTY, stating,” We plan to reorganize the group and present it to the public together with Keena.” They haven’t made it clear whether Saena, Sio, and Aran will be rejoining the group or if ATTRAKT plans on scouting completely new members but fans can’t wait to see what FIFTY FIFTY has to offer in the future.
