This donation was made by Gottesman from the money her husband left her. His name was David “Sandy” Gottesman. David Gottesman was the Founder of the First Manhattan Co. and died in 2022. Before he died, he told her to do what she felt was right with the money. This led her to help pay for the tuition of the school’s 737 doctor students. On average, students graduate with more than $200,000 in medical debt. This donation led to an increase in enrollment from 100 students to half the New York state residents. This also led to a great transfer of students from other schools in the New York area.
