This April seems to have had a troublesome start, as storms and tornadoes have threatened Kentucky civilians. On April 1, 2024, dangerous storms began to roll into Kentucky. Severe weather alerts had taken over Kentucky and surrounding states. There were warnings of flooding and possible tornadoes. In Paris, Kentucky the storms had worsened and the tornado siren went off. Most homes and businesses in the area were unaffected and it seemed as if the tornado had not touched ground. The weather subsided and the worst of the storms had passed, or so it seemed. Unfortunately, one farm had succumbed to the severe weather.
Out of the town of Paris, only one street was hit by the tornado, and the Hidden Rose farm is located on that street. These unsuspecting people happened to be the only ones that were affected by the tornado. The farm owners had to quickly move their animals to a safer area. Soon after, their barn was unfortunately completely torn down by the tornado. The damage from the tornado was heartbreaking for this family and they are attempting to rebuild by creating a GoFundMe.
