There have been recent reports that LE SSERAFIM’S Kazuha and &TEAM’s K are in a relationship. The rumors were first published by Japanese media outlet Shūkan Bunshun on April 6, claiming that Kazuha was dating a male idol who was six years older than her and stood 186 cm tall. While the initial report did not identify the idol, a later viral post on the outlet’s membership page revealed that it was &TEAM’s K. The post also suggested that the two had started as friends before beginning to “date”, but some Netizens found the timeline of their relationship suspicious because it would have meant that they knew each other before Kazuha became a trainee. It was rumored that Kazuha was in a relationship with K, but Netizens later debunked these rumors. According to many people, Kazuha became a trainee in 2022, so if the rumors were true, K would have already known her when she was a ballerina. Moreover, someone pointed out that if they had been friends for about a year before allegedly dating in 2022, they would have also been friends during the summer. They went on to say that the timeline was false and that Kazuha was also just a student in the Netherlands so there couldn’t have been direct contact between the two.
HYBE and Source Music, the agencies representing both Kazuha and K, have also just recently denied the reports. In an interview with Korea JoongAng Daily, a Source Music representative stated that “they are not in a relationship.” This is not the first time that Shūkan Bunshun has been accused of spreading false rumors about idol relationships. In January, the outlet claimed that LE SSERAFIM’s Kim Chaewon was dating a former rapper, but Netizens quickly debunked the rumors by comparing edited photos of the two idols with a genuine photo of Chaewon and Sakura. The former rapper and HYBE both denied the allegations. Fans have been cautioned against believing everything they see online and to be wary of rumors that have not been substantiated.
