So, we all heard about Taylor Swift dropping her new Album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department.’ The album title is already catchy, but let’s not ignore the song titles. Following her new album drop Swift fans originally thought her latest album would mostly be about her ex boyfriends, but now fans speculate the album’s tracks ‘ThanK you aIMee’ and ‘Cassandra’ are thinly veiled Kim Kardashian diss tracks. She seems to diss a lot of people in this album such as her exes, her boyfriends (Travis Kelsey) exes, and Kim Kardashian. The verses that caused fans to assume it was about Kim was, “When I picture my hometown there’s a bronze, spray tanned statue of you,” and “So I changed your name and any real defining clues, and one day your kid comes home singing a song that only us two is gonna know is about you.” Allegedly Aimee was the code name that Taylor used for Kim around her friends and with this being known, Swift fans have flooded Kim’s comments with things such as, “Thank you Aimee,” and “AIMEE!” The song basically spelled out Kim’s name in all caps with the song title, ‘ThanK you aIMee.’ The song ‘Cassandra’ on the other hand has nothing hinting at Kim with the title, but everything hinting at her through the lyrics. The lyrics, “Cause that’s where I was when I got the call.. when the truth comes out, it’s quiet.” Which is obviously referring to the recorded phone call between Kayne West (Kim’s Ex Husband) and Taylor Swift and how it was doctored. Other lyrics such as, “They knew the whole time that I was onto something. The family, the pure greed, the Christian chorus line. They all said nothing. Bloods thick, but nothing like a payroll.” This hints at the betrayal the Kardashian family does to one another just for fame and money, which shows in their show ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ which documents their life. Her album became the most pre-saved album countdown page in Spotify history. In less than 12 hours after the release it became the most streamed album in a single day of this year and she became the most streamed artist in a single day in Spotify history with over 300 million streams. Her song with Post Malone called ‘Fortnight’ became the most streamed song in a single day in Spotify History. She holds the top three most streamed albums in Spotify history.
