Acclaimed musician Childish Gambino, the musical alter ego of actor Donald Glover, has released a new version of his 2020 album ‘3.15.20’ titled ‘Atavista.’ The album features reworked versions of the original tracks with new guest features from artists like Ariana Grande, 21 Savage, Summer Walker, and Young Nudy (Gambino, 2024). Alongside the revamped album, Gambino also announced his first tour in five years, dubbed the “New World Tour,” which will span North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand over the next two years (Associated Press, 2024). Glover also enlisted the help of artists like Summer Walker and Young Nudy for guest appearances on the album, which he described as the “finished version” of his previous offering. To accompany the album’s release, Childish Gambino dropped a music video for “Little Foot Big Foot,” directed by his longtime collaborator Hiro Murai. The surprise drop comes as Glover also announced “The New World Tour,” his first live shows since 2019, which will take him across North America, Europe, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand over the next two years (Childish Gambino Surprise-Drops New Album ‘Atavista’, 2023). “The New World Tour,” the extensive trek will kick off on August 11th in Oklahoma City and extend all the way through February 2025, with stops across North America, Europe, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. For the North American leg, Glover will be joined by rising star WILLOW as the opening act, while the international dates will feature Ghanaian-American artist Amaarae supporting him. Tickets for the tour will go on sale to the general public on May 17th, with American Express cardholders having early access starting on May 15th.
