The Patchwork of Life
September 26, 2018
Life is like a patchwork quilt,
Where each piece plays a part.
There’s one for understanding,
Another for a loving heart.
There’s a square for strength and courage,
Often tested through the years,
And a piece as gay as flowers,
It’s been watered well with tears.
There’s a plaid for pure unselfishness,
A stripe for loyalty,
And a print for dedication,
Bright enough for all to see.
Yes, life is like a patchwork quilt,
Sewn with guidance from above,
And the threads that bind the pieces
Are the strong, sure cords of love.
