Donald Trump has been dominating politics for the past 9 years.He secured the 2024 presidency role by securing more than 270 electoral votes which will be his,  second term as president. Trump won a total of 312 votes, while Kamala Harris only secured 226 votes. Trump won all the swing states improving his vote share and getting the popular vote. 

Donald Trump’s campaign wanted Donald to get close to his supporters and fans to build personal bonds. Trump already had a loyal support base since his first presidential election in 2016. Trump was a dominant figure in the media and on social media. He is always trying to be in the public eye and generate attention. Trump would also use social media to speak directly; to his supporters. His campaign focused mostly on content like graphics, memes, and videos targeted to his audience. The Trump campaign is always quick to respond to his controversies.  

 Surveys found that the majority of Trump’s voters were men. Young men were turning away from Biden and instead turning to Trump. One of Kamala Harris’s main focuses was women’s rights and these middle-aged men seemed to not care. As Trump secured the male vote he had to avoid losing the women’s vote by overturning Roe v Wade and making the decision up to the states. Elon Musk donated over $100 million to his political action committee to help Trump in swing states. 

Trump will enter his second term committed to creating a governing environment with restraints on his power. Trump did not hide that, and it was what the Americans decided they wanted. Trump was surrounded by his family, advisors, family, and friends wearing MAGA hats when he found out that he had won the election. “We’ve achieved the most incredible political thing,” Trump said.
