New Year Resolutions

New+Year+Resolutions

Everyone has their own New Year goals. Some are about money or love or just simply getting in shape. What I think most people, especially high school students, should consider as a  new years goal is cutting out drama. Now I get it. It’s high school how are you possibly gonna get away from drama? Well, it’s not so hard.

Firstly, look at who you surround yourself with. Are they troublemakers? Do they gossip nonstop? Ask yourself, Will I get in trouble when I’m with them? Secondly, do they get along with your other friends? Is there “bad blood” between them or anyone else? I know high school is rough with all the gossip and drama. But you can go on with your four years of high school WITHOUT the drama and gossiping and the fights. About every high school has drama, so yes it may seem impossible to ignore but it’s not. When one of your friends come up to you trying to talk about drama to you just simply say “Hey I really don’t wanna hear about the drama. Please respect that.” And if they can’t accept that then they aren’t true friends to you. There are people in high school who don’t want drama. And most friendships work out better without drama and gossip.   People often don’t realize how it affects their lives in a larger way.  Drama and gossip are the starting points of bullying. And that’s not good at all. Like I said most high school students need their new year goal to be stay drama free. That’s what my goal for this year is. Once I cut out everyone who was nothing but drama and my life became amazing. This was the best decision I ever made. Yes, I lost some friends but I was willing to do that so I can have a better state of mind. Believe me, once you do it, you’ll feel so much better.
