Valentine’s Day is known around the world as an opportunity to celebrate love. Red roses symbolize energy, passion, and deep love. Traditionally, they are reserved for intimate, romantic relationships. From the earliest times, a red rose is valued for fragrance and beauty. Pink roses might be a better choice for a friend or family member. This color represents affection, sweetness, and understanding. Light pink can represent grace, admiration, and friendship. Dark pink leans towards gratitude, appreciation, and thankfulness. Almost every gift is colored in either pink or red with hearts. The heart was once associated with knowledge as well as feelings, but now see it as a symbol of romance and medieval love. Additionally, studies also show that men find women more attractive and desirable when they see photos of men on a red background or dressed in red. It can be suggested that men recommend the lady to wear a color to catch their eye; such as pink, red, or something bright. There are also songs that associate red such as “Lady in Red” by Chris de Burgh. The song talks about seeing a lady in a red dress, shining bright and asking her to dance, it’s very romantic with loads of love to go along.

While celebrating or decorating for Valentine’s Day, you see a ton of red, pink or hearts. Every decoration is covered in hearts or based off of hearts. This represents the amount of love that one has for another and giving back to those who don’t have someone. Many guys get the girl a bundle of flowers; such as roses, tulips, sunflowers, and lilies. A lot of people get a certain color, but you can also get white to be simple and stand out. Also, allowing the ribbons and bows to be the decoration to give the final touch.
