Once you become a senior in High School, you automatically become known for making responsible choices. One of the most important decisions of being a senior is deciding where you want to go to college. There are many aspects to choosing the best college. You have to think about the distance away from home. Do you get homesick easy? If so, choose a place close to home but not too close because you need to experience the time in college. Being in a dorm, doing college things, and finding new friends. Being in college is a huge step forward to being an adult and is very important. Another thing you have to consider is the opportunities that that specific college has. Such as the education level it has, things to do around the area, and how you feel on campus. Usually, students know automatically what school they want to go to as soon as they step on campus and meet the professors. Sometimes, your dream school could turn out not to be just by going on campus and getting a feel for it. Going on campus visits is very important in deciding. Meeting professors are important in order to know how classes are going to go and if you like how they teach. Making friendships with your professors is also very important because you never know what could come up and they would have to help you with something. Also, if you play a sport they would have to really like you in order to put in overtime for you if you have to miss class for a game. The college experience is something you want to have. Picking out dorm decorations, bedding stuff, your roommate, and appliances are so fun to get. A good roommate is also crucial to go to college. Someone who shares the same interests as you is important.

College is much different than high school. Some parts are more stressful but you have more freedom and you have to be more independent. Make it the best four or more years of your life!!
