FRANCE

Rose is from Normandie, France so I asked her some questions about it.

A quote about France from Rose: “The croissants are good and it’s always raining but not in summer.” (Les croissants sont bons et il pleut toujours mais pas en été.)

What is it like in France? Rose’s neighborhood was busy. Her school was strict and you could not have your phone in class at all. In high school, you only had to go three years instead of four like Bourbon. You pick one subject to do at the beginning of the year and you stay with that subject your whole highschool years. They use military time, too.

SPAIN

Nurica is from Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

“All is big.” (Todo es grande.)

What is it like in Spain? “The food is healthier. We drink a lot of soda here compared to there. They drink more water.” Nurica plays soccer and basketball here. In school, they have the stay in the same class, and teachers come to them instead of switching classes like us. Her school had 4,000 people in it.

ITALY

Yasmin is from Italy. “It’s nice and you have a lot of horses.” (È bello e hai molti cavalli.)

What is it like in Italy? “The school is easier here. They have healthier food there but her favorite food here is fried chicken. Most things are cheaper in Italy and it is easier to find more job opportunities there.” Yasmin already knew some of our cultures as well.

JAPAN

Kyoko is from Japan.

What is it like in Japan? The schools she went to have different rules compared to here at Bourbon. They have healthier food, such as fish and rice. They mainly drink green tea, preferably hot. Kyoko plays volleyball and she dances.
