On September 21st, the Bourbon County High School Marching Band traveled to Louisville for the BOA Regional competition.  The competition featured 28 bands from 7 different states, ranging from class 1A to 4A. Bourbon County competed in class 1A.  After their preliminary performance, the Marching Colonels were awarded the Class A Regional Championship in addition to receiving the award for Best Music, Best Visual, and Best Effect.  Following their finals performance, the Colonels returned to the field one last time for awards where they were awarded finalist medals and 4th place overall.. With many thanks to their directors, Bourbon County gave two exceptional performances on Saturday with many more to come.
