After feeding the five thousand besides women and children. The disciples got into a boat as Jesus dismissed the crowds. After that, Jesus went up on a mountain to pray to the Lord. At night the boat was far off getting battered by waves and the wind was against them. very early in the morning, Jesus came walking on the water towards them. When they say to him they were terrified, “it’s a ghost” they said while crying out in fear, immediately Jesus spoke to them “don’t be afraid”. Peter answered, “if it’s you Lord command me to come to you on the water”.

Jesus said, “come.” Then peter climbed out of the boat and he started walking on the water towards Jesus. But when Peter saw the strength of the wind he was afraid and begin to sink he cried out “Lord save me”. immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught hold of him and said “you of little faith.” Jesus continued “why did you doubt.” when they got into the boat the wind ceased and those in the boat began to worship him and saying “you are truly the Son of God”. When they came to Gennesaret people recognized him and brought all the sick in all the vicinity and they begged him that they might only touch the end of his robe and as many as touched it was healed. 

Then Jesus was approached by Pharisees and scribes from Jerusalem who asked Jesus “why the disciples break the traditions of the elders”, for they do not wash their hands when they eat. Jesus answered them “why do you break  God’s commandments because of your tradition.” “ For God said to honor your father and your mother and whoever speaks evil of father or mother must be put to death. But you say whoever tells his father or mother whatever benefit you might have reached from me is a gift committed to the temple, you say he does not have to honor his father Thus you nullify the Word of God for the sake of your tradition. You hypocrites!”
