As coronavirus still begins to wreak havoc on the live music industry, artists are being forced to think harder. Drive-In concerts? Drive-In concerts have been an alternative so that the crowds get to see their favorite artist on stage. I take it as you have room for your car and some more to enjoy the show. The amount of distance between your car and the one beside you is enough for safe social distancing. Although, when outside your vehicle you must stay in your designated spot. Drive-In concerts allow families and friends to get out of the house and spend time with each other. Sylvia Bunce says, ̈It could be a good and bad thing, depending if people are following guidelines. I would definitely consider going, it would be fun to get out of the house for once! ̈

Student at Bourbon County High School says she would love to go see one of her favorite artists perform; she mentions it would give her something to do besides stare at a computer screen all day! Drive-In concerts sound like a great idea, although, I am not totally sure if parents would allow us teens to go with all of the chaos going on in the world! As a teenager myself, I know that going to concerts to see and/or meet our favorite bands or artists, to escape stress of work/school and to ultimately have a good time sounds great! Mike Eli, lead singer of the Eli Young Band, says he has never been more grateful to be honked at. Drive-In concerts was not what the country band had in mind for their 2020 touring experience, but they are loving it! Researchers say music is good for your mind, people who go to concerts are happier and healthier than people who don’t. So, I’m starting to like this idea of Drive-In concerts!
