On October second, rapper 21 Savage and producer Metro Boomin dropped the album Savage Mode 2. This album has a total of 15 tracks. Lots of people would consider parts of the album iconic. The album was announced with a trailer narrated by Morgan Freeman. Freeman is a very popular and well liked actor so that brought lots of attention to the album. Also, the album was collaborated with Metro Boomin. This is the third album they have collaborated on. Savage Mode which dropped in 2016 was the first and Without Warning also featuring Offset which dropped in 2017 was the second. As you probably noticed, 21 and Metro have had inactivity for a while. Savage Mode 2 was a continuation of Savage Mode hence the name ‘Savage Mode 2’. Lots of people would call 21 and Metro an iconic duo.

The album sold 170k units in its first week and the album debuted number 1 on Apple Music. Also, 13 songs off the album are on Billboard hot 100. The album had three features in total. Some of the hit songs are Runnin, Glock in My Lap, Mr. Right Now (feat. Drake), and Rich N***a S**t (feat. Young Thug). When as a basic overview of the album, freshman Jake Jones said, “The album was cool. I think 21 and Metro are an alright duo, but they are good at what they do. My favorite song is Runnin, and I think it get most likely get over 20k sales. My top 5 tracks on the album are Runnin, Mr. Right Now, Slidin, Many Men, and Snitches and Rats.” An unnamed source said, “I didn’t really like the album. I think Metro and 21 Savage are a good duo, just not this time. I didn’t have a favorite song. I don’t really think it’ll get too many sales. I didn’t have 5 top tracks but a couple of good ones were Mr. Right Now and Glock in Lap. In my opinion, I think it was a good album. It was a long awaited album and I was excited to listen to it. I definitely think 21 and Metro are a good duo. My favorite song is Glock in My Lap. I think it’ll get over 100k sales. My top five tracks are Glock in My Lap, Runnin, Many Men, No Opp Left Behind, and RIP Luv. 21 Savage and Metro Boomin’s album is streaming on all platforms!
