2020 Hip Hop and Rap Album Release Dates
November 6, 2020
As COVID-19 being one of most focused things in 2020, music has been as well. As the year 2020 comes closer to the end, there have been many hip hop and rap album/mixtape release dates. In October, there were many anticipated album release dates, and as of now, they have been released. On October 30th, there were many albums released that day. Some of those being Pegasus by Trippie Redd, Beautiful Havoc by $NOT, Welcome to O’Block by King Von, Misunderstood by Queen Naija, Trapped on Cleveland 3 (Deluxe), and more. In the month of November, there have been a couple album releases so far, and a couple release dates. As of November first, From Dark to Light by NLE Choppa, Demons R Us by Doe Boy & Southside dropped. An upcoming album, which is supposed to be released on November 27th is Slime Language 2 by Young Thug. As you can see, the months of October and November have brought good music.
In a survey talking about 2020 hip hop and rap album release dates, students from Bourbon County High School have given their opinion on it. On one of the questions, students were asked “How many hours do you spend listening to hip hop/rap.” 45.5% students said they listen to it for two hours (being the most), and 18.2% said zero hours (being the least). On another question, they were asked “What artists’ albums are you looking forward to?” The options given were Pegasus, Beautiful Havoc, Welcome to O’Block, Misunderstood, and not looking forward to any of the albums listed. 72.7% chose not looking forward to any of the albums listed.
In my opinion, I was looking forward to Pegasus by Trippie Redd and Welcome to O’Block by King Von, and From Dark to Light by NLE Choppa. I am looking forward to Slime Language. If I were to have a survey like this, I would say I listen to music two to three hours a day (sometimes more). These albums (Slime Language being excluded) are now streaming on all platforms!
