New Music from Lil Skies- ‘Unbothered’
February 2, 2021
After years of waiting for new music, Lil Skies fans have to wait no more. On January 22nd, rapper Lil Skies dropped his album ‘Unbothered’. The last time the rapper dropped an album was in 2019 so it’s been a while. This is his third album and the album consists of 14 tracks. The album includes features from rappers Lil Durk and Wiz Khalifa. It’s approximately 42 minutes long.
In December of 2020, the rapper posted an Instagram story saying “Y’all gotta stop wishing I was the same person and made the same music. I can’t be that same person I was three years ago. My life on a whole other type of time now, this will be my last time addressing this.” As you can see, fans wanted music and they wanted it to be like the music from his album ‘Life of a Dark Rose’ and other singles from a couple years ago. The album ‘Unbothered’ sold 15k in its first week. Some hit songs are ‘Havin My Way (feat. Lil Durk)’ and ‘Dead Broke’.
In my opinion, I think the album was good. Skies have always been one of my favorite artists so I was happy to see that he dropped music. It isn’t like his old music that much but that was very well anticipated. The flow and beats on the album are really good. I liked the features Lil Skies had but I wish he had more. Some of my favorite songs on the album are ‘Riot’, ‘Havin My way’, ‘Ok’, “Trust Nobody” and ‘Red Wine & Jodeci’. I really liked the album cover, I thought it was cool. I hope there will be some music videos. I think this is a good start of music for him this year and it’ll only get better. Unbothered is streaming on all platforms!
