The YSL (Young Stoner Life) head first teased “Slime Language 2″ in October 2020 via Instagram Stories. On April 16, 2021, fans finally got to hear the album. This is the second full-length album from Young Stoner Life Records. The label is founded by rapper Young Thug.

The album consists of 23 tracks. It has different flows on each song and has a different feature per song. There are over ten features, which include star rappers Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Keed, Big Sean, NAV, Future, YNW Melly, Kid Cudi, and others. Track #2 “Ski” placed 48 on The Hot 100 and track #4 “Solid (feat. Drake)” placed 52.

The deluxe album has dropped as well. The deluxe album contains 31 songs. The deluxe adds eight new songs with features from DaBaby, Don Toliver, MEGO, and more. Some hit songs are “Slam The Door”, “Litty (feat DaBaby)”, “No Surprise (feat. Bslime and Don Toliver)”, “Mil in Vegas (feat. NAV)”, and “Explosion (feat FN DaDealer & Yak Gotti)”.

“Slime Language 2” is named after “Slime Language”, which was released in 2018. “Slime Language” wasn’t as long as Young Thug’s new album but it definitely had the features! “Slime Language” had features from Gunna, Lil Uzi Vert, Drake, Jacquees, and others. As you can see, Young Thug definitely knows how to make a good album!

In my opinion, I definitely liked the album. I liked how there were so many features and those being from rappers I like. The album had so many different flows and overall it went together really well. My favorite song is “Ski”. I loved Young Thug in the song. Some other songs I liked were “Solid”, “I Like”, and “Came out”. My favorite features were Lil Uzi, Drake, Kid Cudi, and Future. Also, I really liked the cover photo that was chosen, on both the album and deluxe. 10/10 recommend listening to!
