On September 3rd it was a great day for all of the music fans. Drake finally dropped his album “Certified Lover Boy”. The rapper announced his album was dropping via Instagram. On August 30th Drake posted a photo, which is the album cover (at the time fans didn’t know but speculated it would be the album cover) saying “CERTIFIED LOVER BOY SEPTEMBER 3”.

The album is one hour and 26 minutes long, consisting of 21 songs. Some hit songs are ‘Champagne Poetry’, ‘Girls Want Girls (feat. Lil Baby)’, ‘In The Bible (feat. Lil Durk & GIVEON)’, ‘Fair Trade (feat. Travis Scott)’, ‘Way 2 Sexy (Future & Young Thug)’, and ‘Knife Talk (feat. 21 Savage & Project Pat)’. Currently on the Billboard Hot 100, Drake has nine out of the top ten spots. Those songs are (in order) ‘Way 2 Sexy’, ‘Girls Want Girls’, ‘Fair Trade’, ‘Champagne Poetry’, ‘Knife Talk’, ‘In The Bible’, ‘Papi’s Home’, ‘TSU’, and ‘Love All’. All 21 songs on CLB are on the Billboard Hot 100! The album earned 743.67 million streams in its first week, making it the second biggest debut in history. According to RapCaviar, “…CLB became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day”. Also, according to Chart data, “Drake has broken the record for most streamed album in a single day in 2021 on Apple Music, with less than 12 hours counted.”

When asked for a basic overview of the album, junior Cam Santiago said, “Yes I like the album because Drake brought a lot of versatility to it. My favorite song is Girls Want Girls and my favorite feature is Kid Cudi. Yes [talking about being excited that CLB dropped]. I wanted to see Rod wave on the album.”
Senior Blake Hudnall said, “Yeah, I liked his album. It had a bunch of songs and diversity, a lot of features. My favorite song is Knife Talk featuring 21 Savage. My favorite feature is either 21 Savage or Future. I didn’t really care [talking about Drake dropping CLB]. I really like all of the features and how many songs there are.
