What’s New From Rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again?
January 27, 2022
On December 9, 2021, rappers YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Birdman dropped a joint mixtape called “From the Bayou” and just a month after, NBA YoungBoy dropped another mixtape called “Colors”. The rapper is off to a great start music wise.
The mixtape “From the Bayou” consists of 13 songs, 38 minutes long. Some hit songs are “Heart & Soul,” “Black Ball,” “Stuck with Me,” “Alligator Walk,” and more. The song “Black Ball” went viral on TikTok with over 260K videos!
The mixtape “Colors” consists of 15 songs and the deluxe has 20, with only one feature. The deluxe album had an additional five songs, those being “DC Marvel,” “Dis & That,” “Gangsta (feat. Quando Rondo),” “Know Like I Know,” and “Snow Bunny.” Some hit songs from this album are “Long Live,” “Bring It On,” “No Switch,” “2Hoo,” “Dis & That,” and more. The mixtape sold 69k units in the first week and is aiming for top five on Billboard 200! Is this a W or L for the rapper?
In “Colors,” YoungBoy dissed a few people. First, the rapper dissed “O Block,” which is represented by Lil Durk and other rappers. In his song “Bring the Hook” he said, “This that Squid Game, O Block pack get rolled up murder what they told us, Atlanta boy get fold up.” This has started a lot of commotion and the two rappers are now beefing. NBA also dissed Adin Ross, a Twitch streamer in “Dis & That.” In the song YoungBoy said, “Man, tell that YouTuber or streamer whatever he us “Stop playing with me, b****”.” When Top dropped his album only one rapper (DaBaby) promoted his album. Is he the most hated in the game? The rapper has dropped two great projects with lots of drama!
YoungBoy has recently decided to take a break from music for a while. A close friend of YoungBoy’s, who is a record producer posted on Instagram saying “PSA: A select few songs probably (maybe) will drop from now until then, but Top will not be seen or heard from into his album approximately #6months from now we have some amazing songs for you thank you for everything.” (SIC)
“Colors” and “From the Bayou” are both streaming on all platforms!
