Social Media in an uproar about Marlon Humphrey’s comments towards Zendaya

Baltimore Ravens quarterback, Marlon Humphrey, tweeted at Zendaya to leave her boyfriend, Tom Holland for him. Zendaya Coleman has become one of the biggest superstars in the past few years. She started as a Disney channel actress in zapped, shake it up, K.C., and Ant farm. Later on, she began taking in more mature roles as the world would see her as a serious actress. Zendaya acted in the drama “Euphoria” and Spider-man movies. For her positive role model for her fans and supports charity. She’s also It’s no surprise that she is envied by countless people, even in the NFL.
Over the weekend, Marlon Humphrey tweeted, “Y’all be posting things on social media hoping a specific person sees it…”. When a fan responded to Marlon’s tweet and asked him who the specific person he wanted to read his tweet was, he admitted (jokingly or not) that he wanted Zendaya to see it. He said he was hoping that she would leave “Spider-man [Tom Holland] for me”. Back in 2013, the actress and singer performed the national anthem before the Ravens vs Steelers game at the Thanksgiving M&T Bank Stadium. Marlon tweeted out after the game saying, “Me and Zendaya would probably be a good couple… I might make a move this year”. Well, it didn’t happen because he tried to shoot his shot multiple times and it has never worked out.
As soon as Marlon posted the tweet, it went viral with over 3,500 likes and several hundred retweets. Fans aren’t exactly ready to see Zendaya would leave Tom Holland for him, judging by the replies:
“Dude, leave Tom Holland alone. If this ever happened you’d become the most hated man in the world” replied one fan with a laughing emoji. “U give up 500 yards this year I’ll hook up with my sister.. Zendaya ain’t happening brother”.
Ouch. Marlon Humphrey may be an NFL superstar but the wider the social media world is it might be right. That Marlon was a little out of his depth for trying to court Zendaya.
