“Victory has things money can’t buy.”

The upcoming American psychological thriller, “Don’t Worry, Darling”, directed by Olivia Wilde and stars famous actors Harry Styles and Florence Pugh. That alone brought the most attention to this new film. It’s set to be released on September 23, 2022. The film is set during the 1950s and follows the story of Alice Chambers (Florence Pugh) and Jack (Harry Styles). Alice begins to worry that her seemingly perfect husband’s company is hiding disturbing secrets behind the scenes. The director released the teaser trailer on September 13, 2021, and fans immediately loved the concept, the story, and the stars. Can you blame them though? Harry and Florence as the lead characters? Destined for perfection. Although they’re both major A-list celebrities, there have been talks over the past few weeks about a pay gap between the two actors. Rumors spiked that Styles made more than three times Pugh’s salary on the film with her making 700k and him earning 2.5m. Olivia Wilde stepped in to deny these rumors and that they were both paid an equal amount of money. With Olivia Wilde being Harry Styles’ partner, her comments are not the most credible. Variety, who wrote an article on the pay gap, mentioned how they reached out to Warner Bros. Pictures, who distributed the film, and their thoughts on the pay difference. Variety stated that they declined to comment.

It was revealed that Florence Pugh was going to limit the amount of press for the movie due to her filming Dune: Part Two. After she finishes her press, she’ll return to Budapest to continue filming. Another rumor spiked that the reason Pugh is limiting her press was because of her fallout with Olivia Wildle due to her ongoing relationship with Harry Styles. It dates back to July when it was discussed that Florence felt uncomfortable and was not happy seeing Wilde and Styles “all over each other”. Mainly because Wilde still had a relationship with actor Jason Sudeikis at the time. The two ended their marriage in November 2020, while the movie was being filmed in late 2020. Pugh never confirmed this herself but many sources beg to differ. Although the movie has garnered a younger audience, it’s been rated R. The reasoning behind the rating is because the feature actively displays sexuality, violent content, and language. Most movie theaters require minors to have adult supervision with them to see an R-rated film. So, if people ask if children should watch it, the answer is probably not. As far as topics that the film covers, it is yet to be determined but based on teasers and trailers, the audience is in for a wild ride.
