Are you finding yourself bored with nothing to do? Are you dreading the fall and winter season as you can no longer spend the day outside? Fortunately, here are some new, cool community classes that Bourbon County is offering! The categories are cooking, crafts, health, and music!

For those interesting in baking the activities are:

  • Holiday Hors D’oeuvres – On Dec. 7 at 6-8:00 pm. Located at the BCHS Culinary Lab, fee is $20.
  • Let’s Cook Together – In December from 6-8:00 pm. Located at BCHS Culinary Lab, fee is $20
  • Bread Making – On Oct 27 at 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Located at BCHS Culinary Lab, fee is $20

For the art and craft community: 

  • Barn Quilt Design – On November 14 at 6:00 – 9:00 pm. Located at the Bourbon County Schools Conference Center, fee is $45.00.
  • Introduction to Welding – On Nov. 9 and 16 at 6-8:00 PM. Located at BCHS AG Building, fee is $30.00
  • Radial Pumpkin and Floral Arrangement – On October 25 at 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Located at the Bourbon County High School Greenhouse, fee is $20.00.
  • Make and Take a Christmas Door Hanger – On Nov. 28 at 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Located at the Bourbon County Conference Center, fee is $20.00

Wanting to keep a summer beach body? Look into these health related options:

  • Weight Training for Women – Oct  24, 26, 31 and Nov. 2, 7, 9,  at 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Located at the Bourbon County High School Field House, fee is $30.00
  • Zumba – On Oct. 25; Nov. 1, 8, 15, 29; and Dec. 6 at 6:00-7:00 pm. Located at the Cane Ridge Elementary, fee is $30.00 ($5.00 per session)

For those into music the activities are:

  • Guitar Lessons – On Oct. 20; Nov. 3, 10, 17; and Dec. 2 at 6:00 pm. Located at the Bourbon County Conference Center, fee is $30.00
  • Line Dancing – On Nov. 3, 10, 17 and Dec. 1, 8, 15 at 5:30 pm. Located at the BCMS Multipurpose Room, no fee.

Finally, we have a community blood drive on Nov. 3rd at 10 am – 2 pm. Located at the BCHS Auditorium, no fee.
