“Well, there were three of us in this marriage…”

An alleged royal betrayal has been swarming around the Duke (Prince Harry) and Duchess (Megan Markle) of Sussex. Throughout the past month, rumors have been circulating in the media about Prince Harry having an affair with Burberry model Sarah Ann Macklin. The royal biographer that announced this was Angela Levin. Immediately after this statement came out, the media assumed that Prince Harry cheated on Markle recently. After the backlash that the situation received, it was specified that this betrayal was in the early stages of their relationship. According to reports, Markle was aware of this happening. Levin stated in the article that Prince Harry met up with Sarah Ann Macklin at a private party after meeting his wife. The two of them swapped numbers and Windsor (Prince Harry) “bombarded” Macklin with text messages. Afterward, it was believed that it was just a fling and that Windsor was “noncommittal.” In Levin’s biography, she also stated that she has negative views against the Duke of Sussex following his “attacks” towards the Royal Family. She also came to believe that Prince Harry was trying to destroy his family. She came to these conclusions because he departed from his royal duties. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they would be stepping back as senior members of the Royal Family back on January 8, 2020. 

People who have kept up with the Royal family know that this situation is similar to the divorce of King Charles III and Princess Diana. The following quote, “Well, there were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded.” was stated by Princess Diana when an interviewer asked for her opinion on the situation. Earlier this year, Prince Harry’s brother, Prince William was also accused of cheating on his wife, Kate Middleton. The rumors were swept underway from the public eye. Neither Markle, Windsor, nor Macklin has commented on these harsh accusations.
