Darius Miles was a former basketball player for University of Alabama. He has recently been found guilty for the murder of his girlfriend, which has now ended his whole career. Investigators wrote in a court document that Darius Miles had admitted that he provided the handgun before the shooting. They say that Darius is being charged with capital murder because he provided the gun that was used in the fatal shooting of his girlfriend, but Darius claims he was not the one to use it.

Darius wasn’t the only one involved in the murder–20 year old Micheal Davis helped alongside Miles and will also be charged with capital murder in the death of Jamea Jonae Harris. The shooting happened near the University of Alabama campus early Sunday, the Tuscaloosa crime unit said.

Both attackers made their court appearances on Monday and they’re being held without bail. Many surveillance videos were rolling while the shooting was happening, which is why the court claims there will be no argument on whether or not they’re guilty. Family members say, “she wasn’t a troublemaker, she was a hard working mother who got up everyday to take care of her son”. The victim’s mother went on to exclaim it was heartbreaking to break the news to Harris’s five year old son.

“Darius, his family, and all of us at Turner Law group first and foremost want to express our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family and friends of Jamae Jonae Harris”, says Dariuses attorney. Head Coach, Nate Oats addressed the court as well and said “ I just want to start today by offering our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Jamae, a young woman, daughter, and mother who was taken way too soon from a senseless act”.

Its sad that his family have to live with him being hes in county jail till hes fully charged. As for Jamae’s family, they will have justice for her murder. This could have happened anywhere and to anybody so keep your friends and family close because you never know what tomorrow will bring. S
