According to NBC Sports journalist, Sanjesh Singh, the winners of the NBA Trade Deadline were the Los Angeles Lakers, the Phoenix Suns, and the Atlanta Hawks. The Los Angeles Lakers won after getting Russell Westbrook and his 47 million expiring contract out of LA to Utah and got Jarred Vanderbilt, Malik Beasley, and D’Angelo Russell from Minnesota. The Phoenix Suns won when they acquired Kevin Durant. On paper, according to Sanjesh Singh, “they are clear-cut title favorites, but let’s see how it plays out in the months ahead before jumping to any conclusions.” The Atlanta Hawks also won when they acquired Saddiq Bay. “Atlanta is also underperforming this year, but getting Bey, who can play either forward spot and decently stretch the floor, is an underrated pickup,” says Singh.
NBA fans should be excited about the playoffs and what is in store for the future. We have Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, two players who were never thought to be on the same team. Kevin Durant on the Phoenix Suns with Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and Deandre Ayton, which makes Phoenix capable of winning a championship this season.
