A lot happened from February 6th through February 10th, 2023. Many superstars and improving players moved to different teams and these are all the major trades that happened during that timeline:The Phoenix Suns acquired Kevin Durant and TJ Warren in a trade that gave the Brooklyn Nets, Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson, Juan Pablo Vaulet, and many first and second-round picks; the Milwaukee Bucks gained Jae Crowder; he Indiana Pacers received George Hill, Serge Ibaka, Jordan Nwora, three future second-round picks (from Milwaukee), and cash considerations (from Brooklyn); the Dallas Mavericks acquire Kyrie Irving and Markieff Morris, while the Brooklyn Nets gain Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, a 2029 first-round pick, and two future second-round picks; a three-way deal was made with the Los Angeles Lakers gaining D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, and Jarred Vanderbilt; the Minnesota Timberwolves received Mike Conley, Nikeil Alexander-Walker, a 2024 second-round pick swap (via Lakers), and 2025 and 2026 second-round picks (via Jazz); the Utah Jazz received Russell Westbrook, Juan Toscano-Anderson, Damian Jones, and a 2027 first-round pick (via Lakers).

According to NBC Sports journalist, Sanjesh Singh, the winners of the NBA Trade Deadline were the Los Angeles Lakers, the Phoenix Suns, and the Atlanta Hawks. The Los Angeles Lakers won after getting Russell Westbrook and his 47 million expiring contract out of LA to Utah and got Jarred Vanderbilt, Malik Beasley, and D’Angelo Russell from Minnesota. The Phoenix Suns won when they acquired Kevin Durant. On paper, according to Sanjesh Singh, “they are clear-cut title favorites, but let’s see how it plays out in the months ahead before jumping to any conclusions.” The Atlanta Hawks also won when they acquired Saddiq Bay. “Atlanta is also underperforming this year, but getting Bey, who can play either forward spot and decently stretch the floor, is an underrated pickup,” says Singh.

NBA fans should be excited about the playoffs and what is in store for the future. We have Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, two players who were never thought to be on the same team. Kevin Durant on the Phoenix Suns with Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and Deandre Ayton, which makes Phoenix capable of winning a championship this season.
