Beyonce Becomes Record Holder At The Grammy’s

Beyonce was born on September 4, 1981, in Houston, Texas, and is forty-one years old. Beyonce, also known as Queen-B has been in a relationship with Jay-Z for over twenty years. They share three kids Blue Ivy who was born in 2012 and twins Rumi and Sir who were born in 2017. Beyonce is a worldwide superstar and rose to fame in the late 1990s when she became the lead singer for the R&B girl group “Destiny’s Child”. Later on, however, Beyonce went on to leave the group and begin a solo career. Throughout Beyonce’s entire career, she has released seven studio albums, five live albums, three compilation albums, five EPs, one soundtrack album, two karaoke albums, and eighty-three singles. As a solo artist, Beyonce has sold over 200 million records worldwide and eighty million when she was part of Destiny’s Child. This has made her one of the best-selling artists of all time with Billboard marking her the 37th greatest artist of all time. Beyonce has had a total of 79 Grammy nominations and has won 32 of those nominations. For a long time Hungarian-British conductor Georg Solti has held the record for receiving the most Grammy Awards from 1963 to 1998 he won a total of 31 awards as a recording artist. However, at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards Beyonce made history by winning four of the nine awards she was nominated for, which helped her gain the number one spot of receiving the most Grammy’s. The awards she won include the award for Best/Dance Electronic Music Album for Renaissance, an award for Best Traditional R&B Performance, and her last award for Best R&B Song. Beyonce accepted her awards by presenting this speech “I’d like to thank my parents, my father, my mother, for loving me and pushing me. I’d like to thank my beautiful husband, my beautiful three children, who are at home watching. I’d like to thank the queer community for your love and for inventing this genre. God bless you.”
