The results of the 2024 student council elections are finally here, now we know who will be leading the school and directing the future of Bourbon County High School. After a lively and competitive campaign, the following students have earned their spots in student government:
Madolynn Morgan has been elected President! Throughout her campaign, Madolynn focused on standing up for all students and enlightening the student body on issues. Her ideas for increasing student involvement in activities and creating a more connected community resonated with her peers. Madolynn is excited to start and work on making positive changes for everyone.
Katherine Sapp is the new Vice President. Katherine focused on ensuring every student’s voice is heard and better communication between students and faculty. As Vice President, Katherine will work closely with Madolynn to bring those ideas to life.
Skyler Ishmael and Lilli Fisher are the new Historians and Social Media Managers. They’ll be responsible for documenting all the major events and activities that the council organizes, plus keeping everyone updated on social media. Skyler and Lilli are ready to keep the student body informed and engaged with fun, creative content.
Remi Gorostieta will serve as a Reporter this year. Remi’s passion for storytelling and journalism will help keep the school in the loop about what’s happening in student government and around campus. Expect regular updates and reports from Remi!
William Massey is the new Treasurer. William will manage the council’s finances and make sure everything is budgeted properly. His strong organizational skills and attention to detail made him the perfect candidate.
And last but not least, Cora Walters has been elected Secretary. Cora will keep track of meeting notes and make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Her knack for organization will be a huge asset to the council this year.
The new council is excited to get to work and represent the student body. With such a strong and passionate team, this school year is sure to be one full of great ideas and exciting changes!
