We were all heartbroken when Camilla Cabello and Shawn Mendes broke up after their two year relationship which sparked in 2014 and took off in July of 2019. Fans were starstruck when they announced their separation in November of 2021. Even after the two split they declared that they would “continue to be best friends,” although the two have always been friendly and have had a strong connection together. Since then, the two have published many songs that have been speculated to be about each other. As of this year, it seems like the two have rekindled their relationship and might hit it off for a summer of love.

At this year’s Coachella in Indio, California, the two were caught kissing, hugging, and even dancing at the event. The video got posted and spread everywhere, but the two have not commented on the video. It is still a mystery if the two intentionally met up, or if it was just a coincidence that led to something more meaningful. Aside from that they were also caught holding hands and strolling together in the Venice neighborhood of Los Angeles on April 19 soon after their Coachella outing. The Australian journalist Jessica Rendall, who took the video, told PEOPLE “I must’ve had a very shocked look on my face because Shawn gave me a knowing smirk as they walked past,” she said. “They were very deep in conversation but seemed super comfortable and happy together.” That same night, Camila posted a new snippet for one of her upcoming songs that referenced the meet-up they had at Coachella. The lyrics to her song say, “How come you’re just so much better? Is this gonna end ever? I guess I’ll f— around and find out. Are you coming to Coachella? If you don’t, it’s whatever. If you do, honey, it’ll be all I think about,” which Cabello has saved in her phone as “June Gloom.” Maybe Shawn will make a song of his own following the events given.
